2 tablespoons cornstarch
1/4 teaspoon almond extract
1 cup granulated sugar
2 pats of butter
1 can of pitted tart cherries
In a medium bowl drain cherries from the can juice. Place each in a separate bowl.
Add cornstarch, almond extract and sugar to the bowl containing the cherry juice.
Mix well with a whisk
Add the cherries to the cherry juice and stir gently to incorporate.
Pour cherries into the pie crust shell, and add 2 pats of butter before adding the top pie crust.
